If you're a Cleveland foodie or just discerning about the food you eat, we have the cinnamon for you.
Did you know most of the world’s true cinnamon comes from the island of Sri Lanka, the pearl of the Indian Ocean? Most “cinnamon” sold in America is actually cassia from China, Indonesia or Vietnam because it is cheaper. Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum Verum) is sweeter with delicate notes whereas Cassia (Cinnamomum Cassia) tends to be spicier and contains high levels of coumarin.
